Hi.

In the middle of renewing insurance policy..

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Cover4Caravans? Good / bad? Reasonably priced? Good cover? Etc.. Would like people's opinions.

Thanks.

Not sure Gareth but I did come across this caravan insurance article the other day, maybe worth a check? The Caravan Club have been around for a long time. It is a sponsored post though so best do some research on their deals. Do confused.com do caravan cover? Would have thought so.

I have used them for the last 2 years.

Their price and level of cover seems spot-on but suppose the only time you can really tell is in the event of a claim, always been very helpful when I have called etc.

Simple insurance - maybe too cheap?

Their cover was comparable with all other brokers I looked at.
At the end of the day there are only so many underwriters but many more brokers selling the same policy. Guess it all boils down to how greedy a broker is with their commission fee?

I used them last year to cover my 1996 amara it was £98 I am just renewing it at a cost of £102 not bad in my eyes when you think how much car insurance goes up year on year

Insured my 2005 Avondale Landranger with Cover4Caravans for £9000. The van was damaged and the underwritwes AMTrust Europe sent their own assessor to value the caravan. His valuation was £5000! He argued it had "manufaturing faults causing fatigue cracks in front and rear panels". I had the van serviced one month before the damage and no cracks were found. I would go to the ombudsman, but it takes 6 months to get a verdict - so had to accept a very bad deal.
