Many of us use this Caravan Club site http://www.davidklyn...van_club_si.htm It has facilities for out of hours ferry traffic. There is another site even closer to Dover Port called Hawthorn Farm at Martin Mill. Quite a few people use CL's near the Port and I am sure they will reply with suggestions.

Hi, If you are a CC member I recommend the CL "Longfield Farm" listed under Dover. Really handy from the A2 with a nearby chippy and a tesco if needed.
Regards

If using the CC book try also under Folkstone as it is 'just around the corned' and has a couple of decent CL's............

Similar request - At the end of May we will be arriving in Dover at about 2 am U.K. time. Nothing we can do about that. Anyone know of a stop over near Dover we can use to get a few hours shut eye before setting off on the long tow home. Failing that any Services you are aware of we could use, Don't mind paying of course. Rout is Dover towards M1. North.

The Maidstone service area has parking spaces for car and caravan - but you do have to pay to overnight there. Might it be possible to amend your ferry crossing to an early morning one, and spending a longer unbroken night on the French side (where lots of other campervans, motorhomes, and caravans spend the night). You could perhaps have an early start so then you would be almost in the same place at the same time as setting off at normal 'breakfast' time from Maidstone or similar? Hope this makes sense!

If you're just looking for a few hours, you might consider trying to park on the seafront in Dover in the Waterloo Crescent/Marine Parade area. If you can find a space and as long as you move before the meters start at 09:00, you'll be OK. See www.dover.gov.uk/parking/parking_in_dover.aspx for details.

we use a cl at whitfield near Dover, you can come and go at any time and put your fee in a box, at the bungalow.
2010, £8.00 with ehu,£5.00 without
miss n broadley, singledge lane.
it does get used a lot for the ferries, but if you want you can book it.
there are 3 cls within a mile, check in the caravan club book, under dover.
