Hobby Elecs/taps And Loo Fault

Hi all, I've just joined this group and I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I've got a 2006 Hobby prestige and all was fine and dandy a week ago. We got to the camp site the other day and both sink and basin taps along with loo flush won't work. Everything else does. It felt like I had a little 12v shock from the stabilisers when I secured the van too so not sure if that's something to do with it. The van doesn't have a battery, it's hook up only. Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks Darren.

There's got to be a 12 volt supply somewhere . So have a good look for that then follow cables to a fuse board. There should be Blade type fuses like those in a car. Check ALL the fuses with a multi-meter. A fuse can look good but be blown. Make sure its the habitation fuses and not roadlight fuses you check.

You say everything else works . Is that on 12volt or 240v?

Everything on 240 works. Fridge, sockets etc. The van is on the coast at the mo so was hoping to get some info and help before I go back next week. The 3 fuses look ok but like you say you can never tell. I'll take a multi meter too so I can check everything. I'm not very good with electrics but will have a good look.

If the Hobby has no battery fitted then all 12v devices work via the 230v/12v transformer. If you have a mains consumer unit and a Dometic 400watt transformer then all 12 volt is dc but if it has a mains consumer unit with relays and a Miko 240/1 transformer then the 12v is a mix of ac and dc. The change of transformer was around 2006.

With the mixed 12v system the three faulty items are motors requiring a dc current so the 7. 5 amp fuse at right hand end should be the one involved.

Someone on there should be able to help you if you post the Model and year of manufacture.
