Damp Repair

If your awning rail has a plastic strip in it, then that will almost certainly cover the screw heads. Just lifting a short length of the coloured strip will tell you. Make sure because some awning rails also had a plastic strip to add a colour accent.

Yes some manufacturers used steel screw that rusted and caused no end of problems both damp and getting the dam things out.

If you ain't got any visible screws then yes it will be bonded on. Some times with a single screw to anchor it at each end.

The Swifts and Baileys I've had all used stainless steel awning screws, only my Avondale didn't, so 200 rusting screws at 7 years old prompted a change, but the caravan at that stage was still dry.

I don't know about Lunar, but at the time Coachman didn't use SS screws.

My last Bailey also didn't use SS floor bolts which I think is poor.
