After cutting my hands now about 4 times on the rad fins(really sharp)whilst loading the lockers I decided to e mail Bailey.

They responded within 24 hours and tell me some Retrofit covers are now available free of charge. Job done !

Thank you for your patience.

Firstly I would like to apologise for the concerns you have raised in your email below regards the radiator fins in your caravan and for any inconvenience that has been caused.

I am pleased to say that we now have a radiator guard available for retro-fitment to your caravan model and we have now forward this information to our Retailer Network to also let them know. We would therefore advise contacting your purchasing retailer to arrange a mutually convenient time for fitment.

This will be carried out under warranty and would bear no cost to you as a customer.

Kind Regards

Hmm.. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...so it involves a trip back to the dealers.

Bit of a bummer for those with a long round trip.

I'm sure they can't be that hard to fit.

Are these guards just for the Valencia 3 or are all series 3 included?

If when you open your under Bed\under seat locker and the rad fins are exposed at the top of the loading area I would say yes

Just when I thought Bailey had done well, they are now messing me about over the faulty runner mechanism on the pull out island bed.
Basically they are insisting on a photograph of the defective part which is fine if it sat on your drive but mines an hour of a job to storage and back, plus there's nothing to see because all the ball bearings have vanished!.

Strangely my rear blind in the bathroom needs replacing but they don't need a picture of that because bizarrely they can't see inside it.

I wouldn't mind it's a known problem!!

All I'm trying to do is pre empt what they need when my van goes in for service so I don't end up having to go twice

I don't know to be honest.

The instructions which the dealer photocopied for me seem to indicate one but I will have to wait for delivery to see.

I must confess I have had no problems with the rear locker only the front.

Looks straightforward, slide in 3mm ply guard and staple on, job done in 5 minutes flat by the looks of it.

Haven't got a staple gun so thought about double sided tape.

The pictures are a bit rubbish so its hard to tell, it doesnt look like it sits under the batten at the back but along side it?

26/6 staples are only small though, so im sure it will be pretty easy to fix one way or another.

Does it have to be the supplying dealer, or could it be done by any Bailey dealer? They do have two types of dealer (I forget the title description) which perhaps could allow this to work. My supplying dealer is 65 miles distant, nearest Bailey 'main dealer' is about 15 miles.

They sell them for a fiver in b&q. Work wonders on bed slats too!

Wonder if they will make that mod in the factory on the new builds. Mine is being built (hopefully) in 5wks time.. ..

I picked up new cartagena last weekend and they didn't have the covers and have a cut to show for it. Perhaps I just missed them. Can these be fitted by myself I wonder? Looks simple enough.
