Urgent Mains Water Adaptor Required In France

This might be a long shot but we are currently on holiday at Camping st avit de loisir (dordogne) and moving to les alicourts (SE of Oreleans) tomorrow. Our aqua roll mains adaptor has packed in ( long story but down to site maintenance guy) and struggling to get replacement Sent from anywhere in France.

Does anyone know a place close to either that might sell aqua roll mains adaptor? Or is there an English pays shop or similar? Failing either of these what's the quickest way to get a replacement Sent from the UK?

Don't let it spoil your holiday. Use the aquaroll without it and you may find somewhere at your next stop where you can get it sorted.

As said can you not put the cap back on the side and just put the hose in the top and fill it manually to not spoil your holiday . 5 minutes every evening just to keep it filled ?

Try e-mailing aquaroll or telephoning of course they will probably bend over backwards to help

just for the picture a torbeck side entry valve assembly

Bye the Bye, what has actually broken? (a photo would help)

if it is the hose adaptor or float wouldn't a plumbers/general store

or even a garden-centre be able to help, even just for advice

Strangely I think the French use british standard pipe thread, so any small float valve should do from Mr Bricolage. You then need a converter to Hoselock. Again, same standard in France.

Thanks, it certainly won't ruin the holiday you are right but without it we'd be topping up at least 3 times a day so is an inconvenience at best. Have managed to speak to someone who might be bringing one down to the area in saturday so there is hope!

What happened was the maintenance guy came to the pitch because the tap wasn't working. He fixed it but turned the tap full on and I think the pressure has knackered the mechanism. Top and bottom of it is now is that we literally get a small trickle of water out of the mains adaptor and the shut off float doesn't appear to work. I've pulled it apart as best I can but can't seem to find anything wrong with it.

Any suggestions very very gratefully received!

As JCloughie says, go along to local M. Bricolage and get a small Torbeck valve and replace your faulty one.

Just had a quick look on the Bricolage website, a small side float valve will cost you 7. 20 euros

I suggest you don't worry about it, in the big picture, it's such a minor issue.

Got it sorted with a float valve from a nearby bricolage place.

Hi

I had a friend make one for his aquaroll, basically cos he's as tight. Anyway he bought a domestic float valve and put it on the aquaroll cap and made a float out of a small plastic pop bottle, screwed onto the floatvalve by putting a hole in the pop bottle cap, so it would fit through the cap hole. He reckoned it worked as well as the proper one.
