Towcar summary

What's good?

Masses of torque in exactly the right place. Motorway cruising in 6th van on. Rarely need to change down. Loaded with boat/bikes van at 1550 kgs its easy to exceed speed limit. Self levelling is perfect produces a flat very stable tow.

What's bad?

Servicing could be cheaper.

Would you recommend it?

Yes

Towing performance *****

How well does it tow?

The best towcar I have ever had this inc Volvos Saabs. On my second one. The four wheel drive system is perfect. I have even towed a Crv and a Sorrento off a very slippery grass slope when these 2 cars so called "intelligent" 4 wheel drive just refused to engage .

Solo performance *****

What's it like without the caravan?

More grunt than you will ever need ,comfy, roomy . Not to everyones taste but I have often received comments such as, "never thought about a Subaru" their loss.

Reliability *****

Anything to look out for?

Nothing so far. Had a new rollbar bush replaced on my first one. Thats it

Practicality *****

Is it easy to live with?

I dont know what I would change.....Oh yes my next one will be an auto one.

Buying experience *****

Did you buy it new or used?

New

Where did you buy it?

Franchised dealer

What was the seller like?

Couldnt be more helpful. When I said i needed a full size spare because i tow one was sipplied foc..twice.
