Towcar summary

What's good?

Tows excellent, better than are previous Honda CRV 2.2 manual 2013

This is the first time I have towed with an automatic, I doubt I will ever go back to towing with a manual transmission, it is so much easier.

Towing fuel consumption 31mpg despite only 870 miles on the clock, hopefully this should improve.

What's bad?

Boot capacity and rear leg room

Would you recommend it?

Yes

Towing performance *****

How well does it tow?

excellent, we tow a Swift Conqueror 480 with a weight upgrade to 1554 kg, no problems towing to Cornwall

Solo performance *****

What's it like without the caravan?

Excellent, more like a saloon car as opposed to a SUV

Reliability *****

Anything to look out for?

Vision poor due to front pillars, our model was a Zetec, unfortunately Ford only fit the upgraded wiring loom for the dedicated towbar to the Titanium upwards.

Practicality ****

Is it easy to live with?

There are only 2 of use and 2 small dogs, as family car I could foresee short comings

Buying experience ****

Did you buy it new or used?

New

Where did you buy it?

Franchised dealer

What was the seller like?

Dealer A1

I have recently changed from a manual kuga 180bhp 4x4 only because we purchased a bigger van.

It always towed our bailey GT65 Verona well on long journeys and even towed our luna ultima 674 on a couple of occasion before we changed to a bigger vehicle.

So that's a thumbs up from me also :-)

I've got a Mk2 Diesel 163 Powershift, they are an excellent all rounder and strange they don't get better magazine reviews.

As you say they are a great solo drive as well, very capable round the twisties!.
