With so much on offer throughout the British Isles, and with both domestic holidaying and caravanning itself experiencing a resurgence in popularity, Touring with Towergate is drawing upon the fantastic wealth of caravanning experience and knowledge within the Towergate Insurance team, as well as tapping in to gems from the caravanning community.
What’s it all about?
In the current economic climate, and with environmental issues encouraging us all to become a bit ‘greener’, more and more people are looking to our home shores for holidays that don’t cost the earth.
Add to this the recent number of celebrities championing caravanning, including pop star Mark Owen and model Nell McAndrew, and it comes as no surprise that, according to the National Caravan Council, the number of people booking caravan and camping holidays has risen by almost 15 per cent in a year.
The Touring with Towergate team want to promote caravanning to a wider audience, encouraging people to discover and share the benefits of a caravan holiday, raising the profile of local tourism and helping to give the UK economy a boost at the same time.
With competitions and a showcase of holiday options, the Touring with Towergate website touringwithtowergate.co.uk will feature must have information for both the seasoned caravanning community and new caravanners alike, including a guide to help first timers prepare for, and enjoy a caravanning holiday.
When does Touring with Towergate start?
The 12 week tour will start on 1st July and the team at Towergate Insurance have collected hundreds of suggestions from the caravanning community who are helping to shape their route.
What happens next?
Towergate are pickling the winners today and announcing late next week. Those four will be off on the trips over the coming months and sharing their experiences via the Touring with Towergate blog. At the end they will be asking the followers to vote on the best holiday based on the experiences, photos, blog pieces and reviews and the winner will receive prises related to that holiday worth up to £3,000.
The holidays include accommodation and all activities, plus £100 to contribute to transport, plus the use of iPad to send in their blog content.
